In the name of Allah Briefing news about Dr. Zarif visit and meeting with high official in Rome Following his meeting with European officials, H.E. Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Foreign Affairs of I.R.Iran, today in Rome met H.E.Luigi Di Maio, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, and discussed issues of mutual interest. In this meeting, Iranian Minister reviewed the bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields, and considering the historical relations between the two countries and the 160-year formal political relations between the two governments, the existing capacities in the field of economic cooperation, especially the private sector, Small and medium companies pointed out and considering the positive view of our country's public opinion to cooperate with the Italian parties, stressed the need to remove obstacles and prepare for the resumption of economic relations in favor of relations between the two countries. Dr. Zarif also referred to the virtual emergency meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the strong condemnation of the racist and belligerent actions of the Zionist regime against the people of the Occupied Territories and Gaza, as well as the meeting with the leaders of Palestinian groups living in Damascus. Explaining the principled view of the Islamic Republic of Iran plan, about holding a referendum with the presence of all Palestinians of all religions and denominations in this regard and once again condemned the actions of the Zionist regime in the brutal attacks on the Palestinian people. Issues related to cooperation with the countries of the Persian Gulf and regional arrangements by the countries in this region, issues related to Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq and the latest developments related to the Vienna talks are other topics discussed and exchanged views by our Foreign Minister.
