1- Meeting with the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Policy Committee,
Foreign Minister Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif met with Petrocelli, Chairman of the Foreign Policy Commission of the Italian Senate, at the residence of Ambassador to Italy.
Dr. Zarif, referring to the 160-year-old relations between the two governments, presented a positive assessment of cooperation with Italy, especially in the economic sector and cooperation between small and medium-sized companies of the two countries, and called for removing existing obstacles and preparing relations for a new era. Following his meeting with Italian officials, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with the Speaker of the Italian House of Representatives, H.E. Mr.Ficco.
Referring to the one hundred and sixty-year-old relations between the two countries and reviewing various areas of political, economic and parliamentary relations, as well as the prospect of removing obstacles to the development and expansion of cooperation, especially in the field of economic and trade relations, our country's interest in expanding Emphasized cooperation in various fields, especially through the exchange of high-ranking parliamentary delegations.
Explaining the Islamic Republic of Iran's view on the developments in Palestine, Dr. Zarif stressed the need for the international community to deal responsibly with the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the occupied territories.
